Formula Student

 

Formula Student is an international design competition for students, which basically means: a group of highly motivated students who aim to construct and build a racing car that can compete in different competitions. Formula Student was established in 1981 by the “Society of Automotive Engineers” (SAE) in the US and also in Europe and became popular since 1998. These international competitions take place on racetracks in Europe, USA and Asia. Each team decides individually which competitions it wants to participate in. The most popular event is Formula Student Germany in Hockenheim because the most successful teams start here to compete against each other.It is a high-performance engineering project that is extremely valued by universities and usually forms part of a degree-level project, viewed by the motorsport industry as the standard for engineering graduates to meet, transitioning them from university to the workplace and the kite-mark for real-world engineering experience.

Fierce formula India is a team of young automotive enthusiasts, students of VNR VJIET, dedicated to design, fabricate and test formula style prototype cars. Every year the team participates in Formula Student/FSAE competitions held across the world, where the team is judged in design, cost analysis, business plan as well as various static and dynamic events.

The team is built up on its team work and passion to make a difference. It was one of the first Indian formula student teams, started in 2007 under the name “FSAE VNR VJIET”. Since then it has been consistently growing in its performance and stands as one of the best FSAE teams in the state.

It provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn engineering through practice and deal with real life problems. A whole new approach to engineering, in turn demands efficient project management and builds professional attitude among the students.
